Firstly, We proudly present you a new demo of A.R.E.S. Episode 1: Extinction Agenda. Some of you may experience the former demo already, but please believe me, this build is more than worth to check out and play. The demo includes 1 full level and 1 boss with a whole new graphic pack, 2 weapons from start and 2 combat difficulties mode to try. Check it out here at our website http://ares.x10studio.com

Another good news is we, x10 Studio, are now announcing partnership with ORiGO GAMES who will be acting as a co-publisher for A.R.E.S. episode 1 and we have plans on continuing the series in the near future.

After a year and a half of A.R.E.S./Trashman game development, this is the biggest news we’ve ever had before. We are the first Thailand team who win the prize from Dream Build Play! What’s next?, we make it the second place. Also, the PC version is quiet completed. I play it everyday. I deeply feel that this year is truly our moment. Thanks for everyone who supports A.R.E.S. and Extend Studio. We will work harder and harder from now on.

We’ve got A.R.E.S. ported to Xbox360 console for Dream Build Play 2010 !!

On day-one, things went very rough, framerate was unplayable-low, the game itself has a horde unknown bugs happen on 360. Too, too much trouble that almost make us give up.

Thanks to all programmers who works so hard during the past month. Framerate has jumped up and all bugs are now gone. By process, we’re now have PC version’s system requirement much lower than before.

We all would like to give our thanks to Hyperduck’s team and Victor Chelaru, FlatRedBall Engine owner/developer and his team for their tireless support/advises to fit A.R.E.S into 360 system. You guys are Awesome!!

There was a “Trashman” game before us 25 years ago on ZX Spectrum home computer system. And the meaning of the name itself didn’t sound quite good in the perspective of international audiences.

We kept title issue as one of our main concern in marketing part. But couldn’t come up with a decent name. Finally, we decided to have everyone make their own version of the new title. And make a vote for it.

A.R.E.S. is winner for our voting session. Bigg, the CG programmer of the project is the owner of this title idea. Thanks to you, man. ;) It’s just simple, easy to pronouce and maybe only me, sounded EPIC!

So the first job for me as an artist is give this new Title a graphic treatment. I’ve decided to use the similar shape as the previous logo so people will notice some relation here and there. Also, I’ve stumble around words to make something that A.R.E.S. could stand for and related to the game. Finally it’s….

  • Enforcer
  • Synthesis
